The new international route was inaugurated on Tuesday, December 30 , with a flight operated by an Airbus A320 aircraft, registration LV-HVT , which departed from Ezeiza International Airport and landed at Natal – São Gonçalo do Amarante International Airport .

Daily flights and a strategic commitment

According to ALN , the service has seven weekly frequencies , with an approximate duration of just over five hours per leg , and is part of the low-cost airline's regional expansion strategy.

The company estimates it will transport more than 77,000 passengers during the first year of operation of this route, an indicator that reflects both market interest and the tourism potential of Natal.

Travelers from Chile will be able to connect from Santiago to Buenos Aires , and then take the flight to the so-called City of the Sun in Northeast Brazil.

Currently, there are other routes from the Chilean capital, such as the LATAM Airlines flight from Santiago to Fortaleza , which can serve as a stopover before Natal .

At its feet lies Ponta Negra beach, considered the most popular in Natal , where beach bars, restaurants and bars abound, setting up their tables directly on the sand, creating a relaxed and attractive environment for tourists from all over the world.

Very close by begins Avenida Engenheiro Roberto Freire , one of the city's main thoroughfares. It's home to a large part of the city's commerce , tourist restaurants , specialty shops, artisan centers , and malls , making it a central hub for those seeking local shopping and experiences.

Nature, history and heritage

To the north, the avenue leads to Dune Park , an Environmental Conservation Unit that protects not only sand dunes but also more than 270 tree species and a rich diversity of wildlife. This green space serves as an urban lung and an ecotourism attraction within the city.

The park borders the Via Costeira , a long avenue that runs north to south through Natal along the Atlantic Ocean. From there, you can access one of the city's most important historical sites: the Fortaleza dos Reis Magos (Fortress of the Three Kings ).

Built by Portuguese settlers in 1598 at the mouth of the Potengi River , the fortress was designed as a strategic point to warn of the arrival of pirates and invaders . Today, it is a site open to visitors, offering one of the most beautiful panoramic views of Natal , combining history, architecture, and natural landscape.
