" The FAM Tour Valle del Elqui included visits to some of the destination's most outstanding hotels , in addition to a tour we took of different tourist attractions in the Valley , such as the solar kitchens in Villaseca , the majestic Puclaro Reservoir , the artisan village of Horcón and the Diaguitas village .
During the FAM trip, we also visited pisco distilleries and a brewery in the Elqui Valley, touring their facilities and tasting their best products. We visited the Capel pisco distillery and the Los Nichos pisco distillery . We also went to the Guayacán Brewery , which produces craft beers and identifies itself as the beer of the Elqui Valley .
One of the most enjoyable activities was trekking and meditation near Vicuña , known as the capital of the Elqui Valley. After a good hike, meditating connects you with the energies and positive vibes of the surroundings —an indescribable feeling .
Without a doubt, the astronomical tour with Amatista Travels was the best way to end the day. The Elqui Valley has one of the clearest skies in the world, allowing for excellent visibility of the stars, the moon, and other celestial bodies . This astronomical tour also included a meditation session .
